Its Ramirez Type Endoscopic Forehead Dissector is a special long-reach instrument designed to lift the periosteum off the bone of frontal origin. It measures 26cm (10-1/4"), it was specifically developed to be used after release of the arcus marginalis--a vital procedure when the periosteum separates from the superior rim of orbital.
This dissector has the length and curvature needed for sweeping across the forehead. It also ensures that there is a clear separation between the periosteum, allowing for the repositioning upwards of the brow structure.
It is designed to meet the particular demands of sub-periosteal surgery; this device is able to balance strength and delicate tactile feedback.
Feature Specification
Material High-Grade Medical Stainless Steel
Overall Length 10-1/4" (26 cm)
Functional Design Optimised for Post-Arcus Marginalis Elevation
Shaft Profile The HTML0 is long, slender and strong enough to resist the possibility of bending
Tip Style A semi-sharp and rounded shape that is shaped to how the head curves
The ergonomic handle is designed to provide an "palm-grip" manoeuvrability
Sterilisation Fully Autoclavable
This particular 26cm Ramirez dissector can be used during the middle and last phases of a forehead lift
Its 10-1/4" length allows surgeons to access the mid-forehead and eyebrow regions through forward hairline cuts without the handpiece interfering with the camera at the end of the procedure.
The slender curve of the dissector's head has been created to mirror its convexity in the bone of the face. This decreases the possibility of "skipping" or gouging the bone, which ensures an even, smooth rise.
The periosteum is elevated and requires considerable force. This stainless steel device is strong enough to withstand the force needed for "lift" the fibrous tissue without losing the delicate "feel" needed to avoid harming nerves that sense (such as the supraorbital nerve).
