Extracting Forceps Fig. 4 - Precision for Lower Incisors and Canines

The extraction of lower anterior teeth requires an exact balance between the sensitivity of the tactile and an enthralling engagement. The Extracting Forceps, Fig. 4, is a standard in oral surgery. It is specifically designed to remove mandibular incisors as well as canines. The refined design of the device allows the most precise control of these single-rooted teeth to ensure an unpredictably and less traumatizing extraction procedure.

Anatomically Optimized Beaks

The Fig. 4 forceps can be distinguished by their slim, fine beaks that have been carefully designed to fit the necks that are narrower than the lower incisors, as well as the robust canines' roots.

  • Perfect Alignment The beaks align precisely at the edges, allowing the doctor to grasp the tooth near the junction of cementoenamel (CEJ) with precision.
  • Deep Engagement. A thin-profile allows for subgingival deep placement vital for having a secure hold on the root instead of the crown, drastically reducing the chance of fracture.
  • smooth internal surface: It is designed to fit tightly around the conical shape of the anterior roots, ensuring uniform pressure distribution during luxation and rotation.

Ergonomic "English Pattern" Design

The design is based on the classic English pattern geometry. Fig. 4 has a vertical hinge and handles that are set at an angle of 90 degrees towards the beaks.

  1. Direct Force Applicability This configuration with a right angle is perfect for lower jaws, which allows surgeons to exert upward (apical) tension while keeping a natural, well-balanced hand.
  2. Maximum Leverage The curvature and length of the handles offer the advantage in mechanical mechanics needed to tear ligaments in the periodontal area without a lot of effort.
  3. Non-Slip grip: The handles are either knurled or textured so that the instrument is secure in the palm of the surgeon, even if wearing gloves in humid conditions.

Surgical-Grade Stainless Steel

Made of high-quality Stainless Steel, these forceps are designed to meet the rigors of regular routine.

  • Resilience to Corrosion: Stain and rust-resistant, it ensures that the instrument stays in perfect condition for hundreds of thousands of times.
  • Can be autoclaved: It is designed to withstand conventional sterilization protocols at high temperatures without losing the structural tension.
  • Superior Hardness . This steel has been tempered to ensure the sharpness and alignment of the tips and ensure that the beaks will not "splay" over time under pressure.
