The declaw clamp stabilises the claw and distal phalanx during feline onychectomy, holding the digit steady while the surgeon disarticulates the third phalanx. Peak Surgicals supplies the Titolo pattern in 6¼", forged in German stainless steel at $55.00CE marked and built under ISO 13485. See the pattern in the grid below.

What the Titolo Declaw Clamp Does in Onychectomy

The Titolo Declaw Clamp ($55.00) is a 6¼" veterinary instrument whose curved jaws grasp the claw and surrounding tissue during onychectomy, holding the third phalanx (P3) steady while it is disarticulated from the second phalanx (P2). Onychectomy is not a nail trim,  it is amputation of P3 at the joint, and the digit must be held precisely for the cut to fall in the right plane.

The clamp's role is control. Its curved jaw seats on the claw and stabilises the digit so a #11 or #12 blade can dissect between P2 and P3 along the ungual crest without the phalanx shifting. A fine locking mechanism holds jaw position through the disarticulation, so the surgeon's hand delivers the cut rather than the grip. The Titolo is the named pattern for this procedure — it carries US patent D661,395, and Peak's version publishes the working length, 6¼", that most listings omit. We supply it at MOQ 1.

Material, Reprocessing and Certification

This declaw clamp is forged from German stainless steel,  corrosion-resistant across repeated steam autoclave cycles, and holding jaw alignment where a softer instrument would loosen at the box lock. The jaw serrations and lock are the reprocessing point: they must be cleaned and dried so tissue debris does not seize the mechanism, and ultrasonic cleaning before autoclaving clears what hand-brushing misses.

The instrument is Class I, reusable, CE marked and built under ISO 13485. Warranty is one year with return-and-replacement, MOQ is 1 piece, and orders over $99 ship free in carton box packing. OEM marking is available for distributors. For related tools, see veterinary micro-surgical instruments and veterinary hemostatic forceps, or browse all veterinary instruments.
