Kollektion: Obduktionsinstrumenter - Saks til påklædning

Tungsten carbide dressing scissors hold a cutting edge far longer than plain steel. The TC inserts are why these scissors still slice cleanly through gauze and dressings after cycles that would blunt an ordinary blade. Peak Surgicals supplies the 13cm straight blunt/sharp pattern with gold handles at $27.50, SKU PS-P-00013. It is CE marked and built under ISO 13485. See the pattern in the grid below.

What the Blunt/Sharp TC Pattern Does

The Dressing Scissors 13cm Straight Blunt/Sharp Tungsten Carbide ($27.50) cut dressings, gauze, sutures, and soft materials, with one blunt tip and one sharp tip so the blunt point can slide under a dressing against the skin while the sharp blade does the cutting. The blunt/sharp combination is the whole design, and it is what makes the scissors safe against tissue.

The blunt tip is the safety feature it lets the lower blade pass beneath a dressing without gouging the skin underneath, which is exactly the risk with two sharp points. The tungsten carbide inserts are the durability feature: TC is harder than stainless steel and holds its edge through far more cutting cycles, which is why a scissor used constantly against abrasive gauze and suture material is worth the insert. The gold handles are not decorative across the industry; gold rings are the standard signal that a scissor carries tungsten carbide inserts rather than plain steel edges. At 13 cm, the pattern is sized for precise work rather than heavy bandage cutting. We supply it at MOQ 1.

Material, Reprocessing and Certification

The scissor body is forged from German stainless steel with tungsten carbide cutting inserts the steel for corrosion resistance across steam autoclave cycles, the TC for edge retention. The pivot and blade edges are the inspection point: check that the blades close cleanly along their full length and that the TC inserts show no chipping, since a chipped carbide edge tears material rather than cutting it. Ultrasonic-clean before autoclaving so suture and dressing debris does not collect at the pivot.

The instrument is Class I, reusable, CE-marked, and built under ISO 13485, the documentation a hospital supply team verifies before qualifying a vendor. Warranty is one year with return-and-replacement, MOQ is 1 piece, orders over $99 ship free in carton box packing, and OEM marking is available for distributors.
